Emergency contraception (EC), also called the morning-after pill, prevents pregnancy after unprotected sex. It is NOT an abortion pill — it prevents fertilisation or implantation before pregnancy begins.

Side Effects
Common: nausea, headache, fatigue, breast tenderness, irregular bleeding. These are temporary and not dangerous. Your next period may be early or late.
