Allah made desire beautiful. This is not a warning — it is an acknowledgement of how He designed the human being. To be ashamed of desire is to be ashamed of Allah's design.
Pakistani culture performs elaborate public modesty while private behaviour tells a completely different story. This hypocrisy is not Islamic — it is Mughal and British Victorian, layers of shame deposited by successive empires that taught South Asians to be embarrassed about being human.
The Prophet ﷺ was not like this. He spoke openly about intimacy with his wives. He addressed reality.
The rishta gatekeepers, family veto systems, class and caste filters — none of these are Islamic. They are cultural accretions that prevent people from fulfilling a Quranic command.
